• A2A joins Family Tree DNA to offer DNA test kits to African Americans.

A2A works to re-establish the connections between African-Americans and their African heritages that were broken by slavery so that any person of African descent can rediscover the identity that is his familial heritage.

A2A proposes to reform the bonds between Africans and African-Americans through:

• Identification: Modern DNA testing enables those of African descent to rediscover their genetic identities and form a personal connection with the specific region and group from which they are descended.
• Awareness: A2A will raise awareness of the important achievements of and opportunities for people of African descent across the globe in order to foster a broader sense of community.
• Education: As A2A grows, we will establish a school to unite Africans and their African-American brethren through a shared understanding of one another.
